As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread in the U.S. and across the globe, I want to assure you that the safety and well-being of our employees, residents, and communities is our number one priority.

Over the last several weeks, we have been diligently monitoring the situation on a daily basis. In addition, we have assembled a cross-disciplinary team of Pennrose’s leaders who have formulated communications and put in place business practices to help ensure the safety of both our employees and residents, as well as the business continuity of our communities.

As part of these processes, we are taking into consideration recommendations from trade organizations such as each of the State Apartment Associations, monitoring the guidance of the Affordable Housing Developers Council and sharing best practices with the Council of Large Affordable Housing Owners, as well as other credible resources.

In addition, Pennrose has always invested heavily in technology infrastructure and has in place a Business Continuity Plan that includes two offsite locations that are fully equipped and are at the ready should we need to utilize them. We believe that these assets will assist us in managing through complex times like this and allow us to continue servicing our residents and communities with minimal disruption.

We understand that the environment will continue to evolve and require our continued diligence and flexibility. As a result, our leaders will assess the situation on a daily basis and will communicate appropriate adjustments to our plans as may be required until this crisis has passed.

As we all navigate this time of uncertainly, please be assured that Pennrose’s Mission and Core Values will continue to guide our actions and decisions. We also hope that your family and loved ones will remain safe and healthy.
